The garbage from The Metamorphosis

What you'll need:
Old, rotting vegetables
Bones
White sauce
Trail mix
Any hard cheese
Kaisersemmel
Butter
Salt

1. Combine
2. Serve on newspaper

Tomato egg drop soup

What you'll need:
Ripe tomatoes
3-4 eggs
Medium firm or soft tofu
Dried wakame
Green onion
White onion
Stock or broth of your choice
White pepper
Salt

1. Bring broth to a simmer. Add seasonings.
2. Dice tofu and tomatoes into medium-sized cubes. Thinly slice white onion.
3. Add vegetables and tofu to hot broth and cook until they begin to soften.
4. Stir vigorously in the center until a small vortex forms and crack eggs in. Continue stirring and let the eggs cook in the broth: if you did this correctly you should have many small pieces of cooked egg white floating throughout the soup.
5. Let everything simmer together until eggs are cooked all the way through. Add wakame.
6. Garnish with thinly sliced green onion and serve.

Passionfruit drink

What you'll need:
Passionfruit puree
Honey
Sparkling water: unflavored or very mildly flavored (YMMV)

1. Add puree to the same glass you plan to serve this in.
2. Add a small amount of honey. Be cautious as the passionfruit will already be sweet and too much honey won't dissolve well if you're serving this cold.
3. Add sparkling water and mix as you pour.

French onion soup

What you'll need:
Yellow onions
Butter or neutral cooking oil
Soy sauce (JUST A LITTLE BIT)
Bouillon
Bay leaves
White wine
Black pepper

1. Slice onions into somewhat thick slices: too small and they'll burn instantly, too large and they won't caramelize before burning. Cut slices from tip to root instead of going horizontally across the onion.
2. Melt butter or heat up oil in a large pot that will hold heat well like a Dutch oven
3. On low heat, slowly stir and cook the onion slices until they soften and caramelize. They will be a rich brown color and smell very sweet if this is done correctly.
4. Deglaze pot with a small amount of white wine. Add bouillon, water, and bay leaves. Add soy sauce if it's not dark enough.
5. Let simmer and season to taste with the black pepper. Do NOT add more soy sauce than necessary for color, otherwise you may cause a terrible stnank that can overpower the onions.
6. Remove bay leaves and serve.
